8 Months

This big blue eyed beautiful girl is 8 MONTHS OLD!!

She has been chewing on everything trying to cut a few teeth. She now has 6 teeth!
2 bottom and 4 top. She has done really well with teething so far. While she was working on cutting her top teeth she got used to playing with her tongue a lot, and soon figured out how to click her tongue.

Sage has been clapping so much this past month. I love looking on the monitor and seeing her clapping in her crib. She also has started waving bye bye a little. Another silly thing we have noticed is whenever music starts playing or when Matt does his goofy beat boxing, Sage will wave her arms up and down almost like she is dancing! It's so cute!

CHRISTMAS

We celebrated our first Christmas with Sage! She only got a few things but she was most excited for her yogurt treats. They were gone in less then a week. Haha!

The day after Christmas Me, Anne, and Sage went to the puppy barn to play with all the puppies because Matt neglected to get me one for Christmas. Sage loves dogs so much but she was a little unsure about the overly excited puppies. One puppy started barking at Sage and she thought it was so silly she couldn't stop giggling.

Sage got this cool infant sled for Christmas and luckily it snowed a ton Christmas Eve night so naturally we had to go and try it out. She loved it! I was tired though, Haha, as I was running through the snow pulling the sled I realized that I am really out of shape.

I love spying on Sage when she is in her crib. She is always clapping, talking to herself, rolling around with her bunny, or doing her silly donkey kicks. But just the other day I walked in and she had her blanket over her head as she was kicking her little excited legs, giggling to herself. After I quickly snapped a photo I yanked the blanket off her head and she just tossed her head back laughing. I am so happy that she enjoys playing in her crib.

On New Years Eve day we got to go up to Mike and Em's house to go sledding. I was a little worried to see how Sage would do riding the snowmobile up to the house. She did great! She actually fell asleep as we drove up and down. Emily was nice enough to stay at the house with Sage so that Matt and I could enjoy sledding to the fullest.

Having Matt home during the holiday break has been so fun! I have loved watching Sage's love for her Daddy grow so much in these short weeks.

Sadly Matt will be leaving us for 4 months while he moves down to Bluff, Utah to build a house for school. He will get to come home for a week here and a week there, but most of the time he will be living down south. I have been trying to saver every moment I have with Matt before he leaves, and I have been filming Matt and Sage play non stop so that I can show her all the videos while he is gone.

For weeks I have been saying how cool would it be if Sage said "Dada" before Matt left, and we all didn't think it would happen. But I worked with her over and over again. Showing her videos of Matt and saying "Dada" while we watch them. When Matt walked in the room and Sage looked up at him I would repeat "Dada". While they played on the bed I again would repeat "Dada". She started saying it but we figured she didn't really know what she was saying but I didn't give up. Finally one night before Matt left I said to Sage "Where's Dada?" and she looked up at Matt with a big smile on her face and said "Dada". I cheered so loud and then quickly fell into tears. So proud but at the same time so sad that he was leaving. I will continue to work with her as we facetime, watch videos, and look at photos of Matt.

I know this time apart will be hard on all three of us in very different ways, but I hope it will allow us to grow closer through the challenge. I know it wont be easy but we will get through it.

I love my little family!

7 Months

Sage is now 7 months old and is full of personality! She is always smiling and recently always has her tongue out. It is so cute!

It's been getting chilly outside so we broke out the hats! She still loves being outside so it's time to start bundling her up.

Marshmallow baby! Chilly winter night walks.

Happy Thanksgiving for the 3 of us!

Her newest trick is pulling herself up! She needs to slow down. Our doctor told us that he doesn't want her to be walking tell 10 months and I don't know how that's going to work out. She is unstoppable.

Sage's first Christmas tree! Even though she doesn't understand this year, it's so fun getting to share our traditions with her.

I hope she always loves me as much as she loves me right now. We are the best of buds! I spend most of my days laying on the floor with her.

6 Months

16 lbs (52%) & 24.5 inch (12%)

Sage is now 6 months old! I feel like I say this every month, but she just gets more and more fun as the days go on. I am one lucky mamma to get to spend my days with her smiling face!

Sage is now sitting up, and crawling all over the place! Getting to watch all her mile stones is so much fun! Now that she is crawling she just seems even more happy! She is getting so much better at playing by herself. Which makes my life a little easier. The one thing that doesn't make my life easier is that Sage is a BIG FAT MAMMA'S GIRL. She only wants me. If someone else is holding her she just cries, expressly if she can see me. With Matt being so busy with school he doesn't get to spend a lot of time with Sage, so when he is home I sneak out of the room so him and Sage can have time with out me in the room.

Sage loves looking at the cute girl in the mirror. She sits there and smiles and giggles at herself.

Sage's hair now fits into the tiniest pony tail! I absolutely love it. I still love a bow in her hair, but she has recently discovered them on her head. She grabs them, pulls them down, and then sucks on them! It drives me crazy. So the pony has been a fun change.

Our little bunny! Even though Sage doesn't understand Halloween just yet, it was still so fun to experience a holiday as parents! It got me really excited for Christmas!

Just looking out the window in her Sunday best! She still loves and prefers to be outside.

I sure do love this big eyed beauty!

5 Months

Sage is now 5 months old. She is our little shorty! She is in the 15th percentile for height. She has two teeth. She has mastered the army crawl, and I bet she will be full on crawling by the end of the month. She is working on sitting, she is still a little wobbly but she is getting closer.

Sage got to go to the fair for the first time. She loved looking around at all the lights and people walking by. She loved seeing all the animals until a sheep walked towards her making the loudest sheep noise! Sage jumped and her eyes went so big, looked at me and started to cry. Matt and I got laughing so hard!

Sage is such a busy body these days! She does not like to sit still for very long, which makes church hard! She would prefer to walk the halls and look at everything. She also loves to babble when it gets quite. Haha I only last 15 minutes in RS before I need to walk out. Not because she is fussy, because she wants to talk to everyone. I have many women find me after asking me why I left, because they were having fun watching Sage.

Two teeth decided to pop out! She didn't even seem phased by them. I thought she would of been really fussy leading up to them cutting through, but she was still her happy self. One day I put my finger on her gums to feel how close they were, and they were so close. So all the rest of that day I let Sage chew on my finger and as she would bite I would push down in hopes to get them out. And it worked! But now its not so fun when she wants to chew on your finger. She left a pretty good mark on Matt's knuckle the other day! It made me laugh. Hahaha

We love when cousins come to play! I love watching these two play. I know they are going to be best buds as the years go by. Sage will always look up to her cousin Cali.

Sage is now eating food! She likes it but doesn't love it. I for sure don't love it! It is probably the messiest process there is. She is so wiggly and food gets everywhere. It is pretty cute to watch her try and figure out how to use her tongue.

Matt has been so busy with school, so its so hard to find time to spend together. He started fall break and so its been so great to get to be with him. Also with me being a schedule notsi for Sage its hard to get out and have a real weekend. Its important for me to bend a little so that we can have a life. Haha So we got out of the house and walked around temple square and city creek. It was good to get out in the fall air.

With Sage now moving all over the place we thought it would be a good idea to take the sleeping noodles off. I had little faith, but she has done great!!

She is so close to sitting! But she will only sit on the grass. She loves being outside. I don't know what I am going to do in the winter time. I think she will teach me to love winter, at least I hope!

This was such a fun day! We were at Liberty Park, the wind blew, and all the leaves started falling. Sage looked up with her big eyes and giggled as the leaves hit her face. After sitting in leaves for a few minutes she realized she could pick up the leaves and put them in her month. Once that happened she wouldn't stop, and she wouldn't look up at me anymore. But I got a few good photos!

Spending my days with Sage is my favorite! Yes, there are plenty of hard moments but these moments of wonder make it all worth it. Sage has taught me how much I take for granted. Such as the joy of laying in the grass, or the leaves falling from the trees. I love getting to watch her experience the world around her! She is a good reminder for me to stop and enjoy the little things around me.

She is my favorite person ever!!

4 Months

4 Months Old!
14.8 lbs (70%) 24 inches (35%)

Sage is now 4 months old! She gets more fun as the days go by! She is such a happy girl. She is always smiling. She is starting to full on laugh, not just little giggles, belly laughs! She is always on the move, rolling and scooting everywhere. I'm a little worried that when she starts crawling that I am going to have my hands full with her. She is also the biggest Daddy's girl!

I put Sage in a swing for the first time and she LOVED it! Now all I want to do is buy her one so we can swing everyday!

Sage has been fortunate to be able to go on outings like the Zoo & the Aquarium since I have been working. We went to the aquarium a week or so back and we were the only ones there at the time. We sat in the Shark tunnel for about 20 minutes. It was so fun watching Sage look around at all the sharks, sting rays, and fish swim around her. She giggled and smiles at everything!

Sage got pretty lucky on the cousin front! They all love her so much. She loves watching them all run around and play. She kicks her feet with excitement, almost like she wants to get out there with them!

Riley and Sage have the cutest bond of them all! Every time Riley comes up to say "Hi" or give her a love, Sage gets the biggest smile of her face and gets so excited! Riley is so protective of little Sage, he wants to help her with everything. My heart melts seeing these two together!

Football season started, so that means we have a little Ute Fan on our hands. I would have to say she is probably the cutest Ute Fan! GO UTES!
