11 Months

This girl is almost a year old! WHAT!! How did that happen? Her personality keeps growing! She really has been our dream baby! Sleeps great, Eats almost anything, Teething champ, and even though she can be very sassy she is such a happy, silly girl! We really couldn't love her more.

Sage loves going to the zoo. She is such a little animal lover! I LOVE IT!! She gets so excited seeing all the animals. She points at everything! The other fun thing I have noticed is she is so good at following my finger. When I point something out to her she follows where my finger is pointing and knows what I'm showing her. It's so fun to watch!

Speaking of loving animals...Sage's favorite is Dogs! She loves them all, but Cooper has a special spot in her heart! Whenever we go over to Nana & Papa's house its fun to watch Cooper come and lay next to Sage. He defiantly feels loved by her!

The week Matt came home we tried to cram in all the fun activities! Unfortunately the weather was horrible that week so the aquarium was a must!

Swimming was another fun thing we did while Matt was in town. That suit! Come on! She kills me! She loved swimming. We took her down the slide this time and she loved it.

Matt also was able to be home for my birthday! It was fun getting to spend the day together. It feels weird to say that I'm 25. It doesn't feel that long ago that I was in high school, and now look at me! Married for almost 6 years and have an almost 1 year old. CRAZY!

I love getting to watch Sage and Matt's relationship grow. She loves her Daddy! I know she has fun with me and loves me so much, but when Matt's around he somehow brings out this super silly side to her. I love it! Everything is way more fun with Dad is around. We are so lucky to have him!

Sage and cousin Serena finally got to play! Melissa and the kids were in town for a week. It was so great getting to spend time with her and the kids. They have all grown up so much. It was also so much fun watching these two girls get to play, fight, steal toys, and figure each other out.

I can't imagine life with out this perfect little stinker in it! She makes me so dang happy! For quite some time I felt like there was a piece of me missing, and she was that missing piece! The moment she made me a Mama I knew I was complete!

10 Months

Sage is now 10 Months old!
Her silly personality continues to blossom as the days go by. She eats anything and everything we put in front of her. She has gotten over her "shy" stage. She waves at everyone. Every time she sees a dog she barks, but when you ask her "what does a dog say?" she wont perform. I'm still working with her to say 'Mama' but every time she just giggles and says "Dada". She absolutely loves her cousins. And she is our whole world! We couldn't love her more.

She is such a good little eater! Like I said she eats anything and everything, and she enjoys it!

All I can say is that she is BEAUTIFUL!!

It's obvious that Sage loves when her cousins come to play, but I think I love it even more! They are my little baby sitters. Especially that Cali girl.

These two are trouble makers! I find them up to no good ALL THE TIME! When I find them, they both look up at me with the biggest smiles. Sage loves her friends!

Lately Sage has been showing a lot of interest in her walker. It's so fun watching her cruse around the house. It makes her seem so big. Well not really...she is really short, but you know what I mean.

Lately she has been doing this scrunch face smile. Haha! It's so funny. I think she knows everyone thinks it's funny so she does it all the time.

Could she get any cuter!! When I'm working, Sage is usually the first to wake up so she spends time with me on the couch! It's so fun just hanging out while she looks at books and I play on my phone. She is my little buddy!

Matt was home for a week again and it was so nice to be able to go out with my hubby! Me and Sage are so ready to have him home for good. He makes our life so much for fun!

I took Sage to the farm the other day and she loved it! It was so fun seeing her get excited about all the animals and point at all of them.

We finally got a zoo pass, so I took Sage with all her cousins. I love how much she loves animals. It's been so fun getting to experience all these fun activities with her.

Can I please have another just like her!

9 Months

Where has the time gone. I felt like my 9 month pregnancy went fast, this 9 months with Sage went even faster. She is getting quite the personality. She is so silly with a little sass.

We get to FaceTime with Matt every day. It's fun seeing Sage's face light up when she sees her Daddy. In this photo we got to have lunch with him. It was fun getting to sit and eat with Dad.

This is her "I just woke up" pony! Haha. Her hair is getting longer and thicker.

Sage LOVES her cousin Cali. These two are so fun to sit and watch. They both follow each other around. I hope they are always the best of friends.

Unfortunately Sage got RSV and was so sad for a week straight. It was so hard having Matt gone and dealing with a sick baby. We sat and cuddled on the couch a lot! I'm so happy she is feeling better now. Since we spent so much time cuddling she has gotten so cuddly. I love it!

My mom has been so awesome while Matt has been gone. She has helped me a lot!

Once Sage started feeling better from being sick it felt so good to get out of the house and go for a little walk in the fresh air.

So, I am still working as a nanny. Right now I am working with a family with two little girls
(3 years & 11 months) and a large great dane. Sage is CRAZY for dogs. She gets that from her Mama. Every morning she gets so excited to get out of her car seat to sit and talk to this dog. The dog equally loves Sage, because every time we walk in she greets us at the door and sticks her HUGE head in Sage's car seat to see Sage. Sage is always ready to give her a morning kiss. I think Sage spends most of her time climbing on the dog. I love that she loves dogs so much! One day Sage! I promise! We will get one of our own.

Sage's new favorite after dinner treat is a 'peanut butter spoon'. She kicks her little legs with excitement as she watches me getting it ready for her. However, she is not a fan of cleaning up after!

Matt came home for a week to play! Sage was so excited to see her "Dada". It was so fun watching their bond grow even stronger while he was home. One of the days we took Sage swimming. She was very unsure about floating in the water with us. She clung to us so tight. She loved the shallow end. She was like a little sea turtle crawling around.

My mom was nice enough to watch Sage while Matt and I went out for a fancy date night to NICKELMANIA!! Haha! We used to always go to nickelmania before Sage. It's where I discovered I have a gambling problem. TICKETS!! I need more tickets! It was so fun getting to spend some time just the two of us. We reminisced about our dating days...literally days. Haha!! I'm so happy I was able to trick him into marrying me!

With Matt being gone it is so hard to take care of Sage and still manage to get everything done. So we turn on the TV. Call me a bad mother, I don't care. She loves this STUPID show called 'Mother Goose Club'. It's just a bunch of nursery rhymes, which I end up singing to myself all day and sometimes in my sleep. Haha!! Anyway, so I use the TV as my babysitter so I can either get things done or even just have a little break to myself.

It's starting to feel like spring! Its so fun to see Sage light up when we get to go outside and play. She got this swing for Christmas and we finally got outside to hang it and try it out. She loves it so much! I love that little scrunched face of hers!

I never thought I would get so lucky! Sage makes me the happiest. I have loved everything about being her Mama. Even the moments when I ask her to 'say Mama' and she repeats 'Dada' over and over again. Haha!! I know you love me too even if you can't say it yet.

We miss our man though! He defiantly makes life more fun! He is such a hard worker, and its been fun hearing all about his days and all he has learned.

8 Months

This big blue eyed beautiful girl is 8 MONTHS OLD!!

She has been chewing on everything trying to cut a few teeth. She now has 6 teeth!
2 bottom and 4 top. She has done really well with teething so far. While she was working on cutting her top teeth she got used to playing with her tongue a lot, and soon figured out how to click her tongue.

Sage has been clapping so much this past month. I love looking on the monitor and seeing her clapping in her crib. She also has started waving bye bye a little. Another silly thing we have noticed is whenever music starts playing or when Matt does his goofy beat boxing, Sage will wave her arms up and down almost like she is dancing! It's so cute!

CHRISTMAS

We celebrated our first Christmas with Sage! She only got a few things but she was most excited for her yogurt treats. They were gone in less then a week. Haha!

The day after Christmas Me, Anne, and Sage went to the puppy barn to play with all the puppies because Matt neglected to get me one for Christmas. Sage loves dogs so much but she was a little unsure about the overly excited puppies. One puppy started barking at Sage and she thought it was so silly she couldn't stop giggling.

Sage got this cool infant sled for Christmas and luckily it snowed a ton Christmas Eve night so naturally we had to go and try it out. She loved it! I was tired though, Haha, as I was running through the snow pulling the sled I realized that I am really out of shape.

I love spying on Sage when she is in her crib. She is always clapping, talking to herself, rolling around with her bunny, or doing her silly donkey kicks. But just the other day I walked in and she had her blanket over her head as she was kicking her little excited legs, giggling to herself. After I quickly snapped a photo I yanked the blanket off her head and she just tossed her head back laughing. I am so happy that she enjoys playing in her crib.

On New Years Eve day we got to go up to Mike and Em's house to go sledding. I was a little worried to see how Sage would do riding the snowmobile up to the house. She did great! She actually fell asleep as we drove up and down. Emily was nice enough to stay at the house with Sage so that Matt and I could enjoy sledding to the fullest.

Having Matt home during the holiday break has been so fun! I have loved watching Sage's love for her Daddy grow so much in these short weeks.

Sadly Matt will be leaving us for 4 months while he moves down to Bluff, Utah to build a house for school. He will get to come home for a week here and a week there, but most of the time he will be living down south. I have been trying to saver every moment I have with Matt before he leaves, and I have been filming Matt and Sage play non stop so that I can show her all the videos while he is gone.

For weeks I have been saying how cool would it be if Sage said "Dada" before Matt left, and we all didn't think it would happen. But I worked with her over and over again. Showing her videos of Matt and saying "Dada" while we watch them. When Matt walked in the room and Sage looked up at him I would repeat "Dada". While they played on the bed I again would repeat "Dada". She started saying it but we figured she didn't really know what she was saying but I didn't give up. Finally one night before Matt left I said to Sage "Where's Dada?" and she looked up at Matt with a big smile on her face and said "Dada". I cheered so loud and then quickly fell into tears. So proud but at the same time so sad that he was leaving. I will continue to work with her as we facetime, watch videos, and look at photos of Matt.

I know this time apart will be hard on all three of us in very different ways, but I hope it will allow us to grow closer through the challenge. I know it wont be easy but we will get through it.

I love my little family!
