5 Months

Sage is now 5 months old. She is our little shorty! She is in the 15th percentile for height. She has two teeth. She has mastered the army crawl, and I bet she will be full on crawling by the end of the month. She is working on sitting, she is still a little wobbly but she is getting closer.

Sage got to go to the fair for the first time. She loved looking around at all the lights and people walking by. She loved seeing all the animals until a sheep walked towards her making the loudest sheep noise! Sage jumped and her eyes went so big, looked at me and started to cry. Matt and I got laughing so hard!

Sage is such a busy body these days! She does not like to sit still for very long, which makes church hard! She would prefer to walk the halls and look at everything. She also loves to babble when it gets quite. Haha I only last 15 minutes in RS before I need to walk out. Not because she is fussy, because she wants to talk to everyone. I have many women find me after asking me why I left, because they were having fun watching Sage.

Two teeth decided to pop out! She didn't even seem phased by them. I thought she would of been really fussy leading up to them cutting through, but she was still her happy self. One day I put my finger on her gums to feel how close they were, and they were so close. So all the rest of that day I let Sage chew on my finger and as she would bite I would push down in hopes to get them out. And it worked! But now its not so fun when she wants to chew on your finger. She left a pretty good mark on Matt's knuckle the other day! It made me laugh. Hahaha

We love when cousins come to play! I love watching these two play. I know they are going to be best buds as the years go by. Sage will always look up to her cousin Cali.

Sage is now eating food! She likes it but doesn't love it. I for sure don't love it! It is probably the messiest process there is. She is so wiggly and food gets everywhere. It is pretty cute to watch her try and figure out how to use her tongue.

Matt has been so busy with school, so its so hard to find time to spend together. He started fall break and so its been so great to get to be with him. Also with me being a schedule notsi for Sage its hard to get out and have a real weekend. Its important for me to bend a little so that we can have a life. Haha So we got out of the house and walked around temple square and city creek. It was good to get out in the fall air.

With Sage now moving all over the place we thought it would be a good idea to take the sleeping noodles off. I had little faith, but she has done great!!

She is so close to sitting! But she will only sit on the grass. She loves being outside. I don't know what I am going to do in the winter time. I think she will teach me to love winter, at least I hope!

This was such a fun day! We were at Liberty Park, the wind blew, and all the leaves started falling. Sage looked up with her big eyes and giggled as the leaves hit her face. After sitting in leaves for a few minutes she realized she could pick up the leaves and put them in her month. Once that happened she wouldn't stop, and she wouldn't look up at me anymore. But I got a few good photos!

Spending my days with Sage is my favorite! Yes, there are plenty of hard moments but these moments of wonder make it all worth it. Sage has taught me how much I take for granted. Such as the joy of laying in the grass, or the leaves falling from the trees. I love getting to watch her experience the world around her! She is a good reminder for me to stop and enjoy the little things around me.

She is my favorite person ever!!
