October 2017

October is the month of pumpkin patches, beautiful leaves, parties, and lots and lots of treats!

Sage and I went to the cutest little pumpkin patch with a few of her cousins. She loved all the baby pumpkins, and had the hardest time picking just one to take home. I didn't know pumpkins came in so many shapes and colors!

Sage's silly side has come out so much this month. She is always jumping out and saying
"Peek A Boo" to whoever walks by.

We always need an aquarium visit each month!

We only had a few warm weekends left so Matt and I decided to take advantage and go hike up Bells Canyon and see all the beautiful leaves before they all fell off the trees. It's so fun getting to do this things as a little family!

There was a few ducks up at the lake that knew Sage had some snacks and as they swam over I snapped this picture of Sage when she realized they were coming toward us.

One Sunday afternoon after church we drove up the canyon to walk Pipe Line with the Bengtzen cousins and Grammy. Sage loved crunching all the leaves.

Our zoo days have been on the chilly side, but Sage still loves going. She has the zoo memorized! She runs to the next animal as she makes the correct animal noise. I must walk the zoo the same way each time because she knows exactly what animal is coming up next.

Every once in awhile we run out of things to do but still need to get out of the house. So we end up at the mall and let Sage ride the escalators over and over again. She loves it! She usually ends up in tears as we walk away.

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN
This year I had a hard time decided what to dress Sage up as. I went back and forth between a few ideas. But one night Sage found one of her winter hats that looked like a sheep I guess (it really is a polar bear hat). She put it on and looked in the mirror and started running around saying "Baa Baa". It was so darn cute and right then I decided she would be a Sheep.

Whenever she saw me working on her costume she would get so excited and begged to try it on. She did so good at our trunk or treat. She loved walking to each car and putting the treat in her bucket. However she didn't love trick or treating on Halloween night. She didn't like going up to each house just to turn around again and get back in the stroller. She just wanted to go inside the houses and play.

SAGE UPDATE:

Sage is 17 Months! I swear she can't get any cuter. She is talking so much! I have lost count on how many words she knows, but I do know it's to many to count. It's so fun being able to communicate with her. She gets more sass with each day that goes by. It's so hard to discipline her without laughing. She is getting so good at playing independently, and it's so fun to sit back and watch her. She is still our little girly girl but is starting to show an interest in dinosaurs, trains, and cars.

I really am the luckiest Mama! I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days with her. I hope we will always be best buds!
