January 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We started our new year with a fresh start. We moved out of the parents basement, and in to our own little apartment. It feel so good to create our little home once again. Sage has adjusted so much better then I expected. She loves her room, and she loves when we have visitors so she can show it off.

Another exciting thing about starting 2018 was Matt started his LAST SEMESTER! It feels so weird to say this is his last semester of school. I am so insanely proud of him and all his hard work. And I am so proud of myself for standing by his side through it all. It was a long road for both of us in very different ways. Lots of ups and downs, but we made it!

While we were living with the parents, Sage always had her "baths" in the shower. Well Sage got to experience a real bath! She loved it!

This winter has felt more like spring. The weather has been crazy warm for a Utah winter. Its been fun to be able to do so many fun things outside.

We started potty training Sage this month! She started taking her pants and diaper off so I made it a rule that if she did that she had to go sit on the potty. She always went pee when that happened. So after a week or so of that I figured we should probably go all in and go for it. She got to pick out her own undies and got so excited about them. For three days we didn't leave the house. She did amazing! She still wears diapers or pull ups at night time and nap time. But other then that she is all about the undies! I'm so proud of her.

December 2017

December was full of family and Sage loved every minute of it!

Cousin Cali came over wearing a sweater that Sage has too. Cali ran up to me and beg me to change Sage into her sweater so that they could match. This two girls are my favorite! I hope they are always the best little buds. Even with a six year difference, they play so well together.

Our aquarium pass was expiring so we of course had to go once more. It's been so fun watching Sage run through this place with so much excitement. This particular time she kept saying
"Dory, where are you?" as she looked in each tank. She even touched a sting ray for the second time.

This is how sage insisted on eating her breakfast one morning. Silly girl!!

Every time we go to the library we have to take a picture in our picture spot.

Every year Matt and I have put on our Christmas sweaters for the Myers Christmas party. I found this sweater at 'Savers' for 2$ so Sage got to join in on the Christmas sweater fun!

This year the Campbell Christmas party was on the 23rd. These cute girls got matching PJ's. There is soon to be 12 Campbell grandkids and these 3 are the only girls. So they get spoiled!

Christmas Eve we spent with Matt's mom and siblings. Sage loved watching her older cousins play Christmas songs on the piano. Once she got a turn to sit up on the bench she was hooked. Hopefully she has more musical talent then I do.

Christmas morning was a dream! Sage slept in tell 8:00, which was great! It was so magical opening the bedroom door and watching her run to see what Santa brought her. She was so excited about her kitchen. I love watching her play with it. She always says she is making soup for dinner.
Soup or Pizza, one of the two.

She was also so excited when she opened Tigger. She already has Pooh and Piglet. The funniest part was after she squealed and hugged Tigger she looked at me and asked where Eeyore was.

After Christmas Sage got to go to her first Nana & Papa night. She had a blast with her Myers cousins. When Matt and I came to pick her up she got mad because she didn't want us there. She wouldn't even let me sit by her on the couch. Now every time we tell her we are going to Nana's house she says "cousins! movie! popcorn!"

November 2017

November was kinda a low key month for Sage and I, but Matt was very busy with school. We didn't see him much which is always hard. I am so happy that this will be our last holiday season being in school. It's hard to get into the holiday season when Matt isn't around.

Whenever we did get the time to spend with Matt we tried to take advantage of it. Even if the was just simply going to Wheeler Farm to feed the ducks.

We love when Auntie Anne comes to the zoo with us. She is defiantly one of Sage's favorite people!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I am so grateful for this little family of mine! Don't we look so happy!

After Thanksgiving and before Matt got wrapped up in school again we went and got ourselves a Christmas tree! Sage loved running up and down the rows of trees. Every few seconds she would pop her head out of the trees and say "PEEK" it was the cutest thing ever.

Decorating the tree with Sage was so special. As a little girl I remember watching my mom put on the Christmas lights and getting to help put on all the ornaments. Having Sage by my side this year, hearing her excited squeals as she pulled out each ornament was so fun. Sage has made this Christmas season so special.

18 MONTHS

This little girl is the best! She is so silly, so sassy, an emotional roller coaster, a little diva,  totally stubborn, but at the same time such a fun happy girl.

She is back on the growth charts at a solid 1% Haha! Her vocabulary is unreal. Her favorite food right now is pomegranates. She loves puzzles and is really fast at them. She will dump all her puzzles out all at once and do them all at the same time. She is such a little smarty.

Whenever you ask Sage to smile, this is what you get! It gets us laughing every time.

Really could she get any cuter?

October 2017

October is the month of pumpkin patches, beautiful leaves, parties, and lots and lots of treats!

Sage and I went to the cutest little pumpkin patch with a few of her cousins. She loved all the baby pumpkins, and had the hardest time picking just one to take home. I didn't know pumpkins came in so many shapes and colors!

Sage's silly side has come out so much this month. She is always jumping out and saying
"Peek A Boo" to whoever walks by.

We always need an aquarium visit each month!

We only had a few warm weekends left so Matt and I decided to take advantage and go hike up Bells Canyon and see all the beautiful leaves before they all fell off the trees. It's so fun getting to do this things as a little family!

There was a few ducks up at the lake that knew Sage had some snacks and as they swam over I snapped this picture of Sage when she realized they were coming toward us.

One Sunday afternoon after church we drove up the canyon to walk Pipe Line with the Bengtzen cousins and Grammy. Sage loved crunching all the leaves.

Our zoo days have been on the chilly side, but Sage still loves going. She has the zoo memorized! She runs to the next animal as she makes the correct animal noise. I must walk the zoo the same way each time because she knows exactly what animal is coming up next.

Every once in awhile we run out of things to do but still need to get out of the house. So we end up at the mall and let Sage ride the escalators over and over again. She loves it! She usually ends up in tears as we walk away.

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN
This year I had a hard time decided what to dress Sage up as. I went back and forth between a few ideas. But one night Sage found one of her winter hats that looked like a sheep I guess (it really is a polar bear hat). She put it on and looked in the mirror and started running around saying "Baa Baa". It was so darn cute and right then I decided she would be a Sheep.

Whenever she saw me working on her costume she would get so excited and begged to try it on. She did so good at our trunk or treat. She loved walking to each car and putting the treat in her bucket. However she didn't love trick or treating on Halloween night. She didn't like going up to each house just to turn around again and get back in the stroller. She just wanted to go inside the houses and play.

SAGE UPDATE:

Sage is 17 Months! I swear she can't get any cuter. She is talking so much! I have lost count on how many words she knows, but I do know it's to many to count. It's so fun being able to communicate with her. She gets more sass with each day that goes by. It's so hard to discipline her without laughing. She is getting so good at playing independently, and it's so fun to sit back and watch her. She is still our little girly girl but is starting to show an interest in dinosaurs, trains, and cars.

I really am the luckiest Mama! I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days with her. I hope we will always be best buds!

September 2017

This month has been pretty crazy with Matt starting school and still trying to work part time. We don't see him as much anymore which is hard, but this is his LAST YEAR and then he graduates! I am so proud of him. Its been a long time coming and it wasn't easier for either of us.

Something new with me...I was made a beehive adviser in our ward. I still have mixed feeling about the calling but trying to stay positive and get to know the 15 girls. Yes, 15! Just in beehives. Excepting the calling was not an easy decision for me. I am a extremely private person when it comes to the gospel and my relationship with my Heavenly Father. To top it off I have the worst fear of teaching. Hopefully it will be a growing experience for me.

Adventures this Month...

We went to the Tracy Aviary for the first time. It was a fun new place for Sage to explore!
She loved it!

Matt had to go to Mexico for school for a week, so of course me and Sage take advantage of our girl time. I have decided I love to go out to eat just the two of us. Its so fun!

Cutest little Ute ever!
As we watched the BYU/UTAH game Sage started trying to say "GO UTES"

Utah State Fair
Every year Matt and I go to the fair. It's been something we always look forward to. Having Sage makes going to the fair so much more fun! She loved everything. She ran from animal to animal screaming with excitement.

Sage was lucky to have Auntie Anne to go on the Big Yellow Slide with. Her face was priceless! I couldn't stop laughing.

It's officially Fall! I was so excited to pull out all mine and Sage's sweaters!

Sage and I went to the Aquarium, which is always a favorite of Sage's. This time though Sage was so brave and touched a stingray! I wish I could of gotten a photo of her face when she toughed it, because it was so funny! But it looked a little something like this...

Nothing beats the Zoo!

This month we added a new sister to the family! Braden and Alynn were married September 30th.

SAGE update...

Sage is 16 Months! She is becoming so silly. The hour before bedtime she gets so hipper and goofy. At the same time...her sassiness is getting worse and worse. Haha! When she throws a tantrum I am reminded she is no longer a baby. She defiantly knows how to throw a toddler tantrum. I have lost count of her new words. She is a talker! She always amazes me with how smart she is.

Lately we have been working on brushing teeth. She prefers to do it by herself of course. But is getting better at letting me help at the end.

Another thing Sage likes to do is sit on the potty. She has shown a lot of interest in the bathroom. Weather it's "blowing" her nose, sitting on the potty, telling me she went poop, or taking her diaper off and running for the bathroom. I got tired of holding her while she sat on the potty so I got her a seat so she can do it all by herself.

Sage has her first movie obsession! Haha! She runs to the TV and says "Pooh". She loves Winnie the Pooh. I try showing her other movies and she just keeps asking for "Pooh". I think Matt and I have it memorized, we have seen it so many times.
